All Welcome
While she did not stay in as close proximity to the pale queen as some, Klara had busied herself with patrolling the mountain. With the feast close approaching, who knew what kinds of hungry rats it would attract. No doubt Reyna's new guardian would be to blame if something were to go awry.

The steelmaiden was pleasantly surprised to find her paws no longer bled, having scabbed and hardened from constant pressure on the rocks, as she neared the precipice of a very large cliff overlooking a knife-slash ravine cutting through the kingdom. Peering down, she was once again disappointed to see the bottom shrouded in mist.

Heart fluttering, she kicked a small rock over the edge and watched as it descended down and down... and down - until it disappeared and a faint clink signified its final resting place.

if you get uncomfy with him do lmk hehe

You smell like my mate, Nivis’ voice echoed in the close proximity. He could be standing like four or five meters away from her now, observing the someone he was dealing with:— a lady, young one too. Seemingly no longer in the age of a child but still relatively young. How is that possible?

The question was ended with a soft hum and flirty undertone like he always tended to do before taking a lazy step closer. It was annoying getting up here honestly and so he was about to plop down to run this girl through lie detector.

are you lost my little lamb, reyna?
in my heart perhaps?

ok <3!

So lost in her thoughts, the gentle timbre of an unfamiliar voice startled the woman from her post at the cliff edge. She stepped back uneasily and swung to face the onlooker - a slender shadow of a man.

"I don't know vhat you are talking about," the words came tumbling out of her mouth in a defensive waterfall. It wasn't until he encroached on her space further that she was able to detect the familiar, but faint, iron-sweet scent of Reyna on his pelt. Instinctually, her hackles raised.

Ever the nice guy, her tone shifted to a bristling challenge. "Who are you and vhat do you vant vith la muerte?"

With what? Nivis glanced with his eyebrows raised. A spark of curiosity however hit him in the nose and so he laid down and crossed his front legs, tilting his head to the side. Then it clicked. Oh, La Muerte… interesting name, she chose. What a good girl. He hummed but not losing his focus from Klara.

Shaking with excitement, he blinked and inhaled more of Reyna’s scent from the grey coat. It was intense; Reyna knew who to choose. She really did go on a rampagne with the pack card game of hers and that was funnily enough something Nivis wanted to know more of. Let me reciprocate. Why do you smell like my wife, pretty?

His languid gaze was met with a stony glare of her own; the honey-sweet of his voice with a disapproving clack of her teeth and a growl of warning at his sudden closeness. She continued to rumble until eventually her jaws arced in an angry snap towards his offending muzzle.

She should chase him away now. Though the ravine wasn't technically under Reyna's watch, his proximity to their borders had ramped her dislike tenfold. Her features tightened at his next words, eyes narrowed in disbelief.

"You are husband to no one. Certainly not to her." It wasn't true - was it? Not this pathetic excuse of a man. "If you ever call me pretty again - vell, I am not a fan of liers."

can be a cameo!

the scent of her lover pulls her towards the edges of the territory, and she finds him there. he squares off with the steelmaiden, who so graciously carries on her duty. her eyes sharpen, and while she cannot hear the conversation from where she stands, she knows nivis enough to know how exactly it's going along.

she does not defend him, though. if the steelmaiden were to look up, she would see the vampiress' approval to injure the leach that now crawls around her kingdom, looking for women to latch onto.

This time Nivis truthfully wasn’t looking for a company in a form of sexual entertainment; he meant it when he itched to know what was behind his lover’s mind and his goal was then to get the answers whatsoever.

Reyna seemed to pledge a woman full of insecurity and even though it was quite predictable movement of hers, this one individual had apart from others a sharp tongue. In fact, one that was playing a vulgar performance out of bravery. Luckily though, for uncle Nivis and lover stupid silly, it wasn’t that hard of a task to get her to talk when knowing what he was working with and where to push and pull.

Shhh…, he clicked his tongue and flinched. She was such an adorable cutie, Nivis wanted more of the precious act but first off, he needed to bring that enthusiastic attitude down. Take it easy, not so rashy. You could hurt yourself badly.

A soft smirk and unbothered gaze glanced at her as his body lifted off the cold stone only to flop down about a meter away from the original spot. Useless movement. I am almost offended… quite offended by your words actually. His head shook in disappointment as he sighed. Let’s start all over again, pretty. My name’s Nivis, I am Reyna’s man and I know the best whether or not she does dedicate herself to the devil himself or not. And you? You must be her new toy.

That all while smelling Reyna’s presence closeby, aware of playing a show for her to watch. Play it cool, not hard.

The worm did not get the hint. Klara's expression turned thunderous as he continued to drawl, all rational thoughts hidden beneath a cloak of barely concealed rage. Men this blatantly disrespectful deserved nothing but a life of loneliness. She was tempted to stop him right then and there, but something akin to curiosity made her wait. Let him prove her wrong. Maybe there was something redeeming about him, though the steelmaiden had already made up her mind that this could not be the case.

A shift in the wind brought forth the strong scent of Reyna, but she already knew Nivis reeked of their queen. The reminder did nothing but shorten her temper further until his final words sent a prickle down her spine.

Something inside her snapped. "You can ask her yourself, Nivis," she hissed and lunged at his languid form, teeth outstretched towards his nape in an attempt to silence the man from the very source of his blatant lies.

involving her a lil more to save her useless husband sorry
just as the queen had begun to pull away, the snapping of jaws forcibly zipped her around over the edge.
klara had lunged towards nivis, and while the man deserved every bit of blood shed by her guard's attack, the fool also had yet to fulfill his part in her plan.

halt!

the banshee shrieks. the rise of her chest takes a moment to settle, revealing for a brief moment her panic. do not kill him. she speaks as she descends from her ledge. her grace returns once she has reached the fighting beasts she called guard and husband. ..he is my mate. reyna speaks first to klara with the composure and grace of a swan. perhaps even an angel. but hell boils behind crimson eyes as she redirects towards nivis. ..and our future king. she hisses.
it would do no good to kill him.

Mature Content Warning

This thread has been marked as mature. By reading and/or participating in this thread, you acknowledge that you are of age or have permission from your parents to do so.

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: language

So much was going inside of Nivis at that moment. Internally he was entertained, surprised and also fed by the minor conflict itself, and a part of him wanted it to keep pushing it to see what would happen. It was fun for no reason, truhtfully. Even if it meant no good. It didn't matter, so when Reyna interrupted the rising up crisis between him and Klara, he rolled his eyes back up. As if she was hopeless, scared something bad would happen... worried about him.

Besides, nobody said he was gonna become the king yet. Apparently though, he had no saying in this matter.

Oh, the love of my life. The future king? You have been around. He spoke in a very calm matter, stepping to the side to perceive Reyna better. She was beautiful as always. Everything's alright, both of us were just having a peaceful conversation about you. What a coincidence. At the end Nivis smirked, then sighed. His attention was now aimed towards the grey lady.

Your new toy would surely be honored to tell us what's the matter, right? Don't hurt her, she must really be frustrated from the pressure in the air.

Oh, he was such a bitch.

all's good! I figured she'd step in <3

A shriek pierced the dull air - Reyna. Distracted, her jaws grazed his skin as she faltered and came away with nothing but a scrap of the man's stinking fur.

Skidding, she came to a stop and watched with smouldering eyes as the queen descended like an egret from its perch. She wanted to hurt him - really hurt him - for what words fell from his saccharine tongue. But a command was a command, and like a dog to a heel, Klara would obey.

"This is your husband?" she hissed, squaring her shoulders. Though her suspicions were confirmed, the news did little to dampen the boil of anger and hurt in her blood. "Forgive me, but I vill not accept a man so blatantly full of disrespect as my king."

"And quite frankly, Reyna, you are no better for enabling him." Her chest heaved; she needed to go - to cool off somewhere she could see neither of their faces. "Sorry, I need some time to think." Nivis' fretting was largely ignored save for a flick of her tail as she stalked off, lest Reyna seek to stop her.

reyna did not stop her steelmaiden, nor accost her. instead, the queen glances back to the man. words failed her, but her eyes were like boiling blood.
leave.
is her only word before stalking just behind klara, embarrassment and rage swirling throughout her thin frame. how she wished for it to burst, but not yet.

Aw, no. She got an audacity and didn’t even say a thing. Nivis was quite disappointed but not surprised by what happened. Naturally some were just smart to stop fueling up his entertainment and leave before it got out hand. Not as enthusiastic and bored as him.

You don’t talk to the queen like that. He added, staring up at upset Reyna. To him it wasn’t much of a big deal but because the fun was over, it was supposedly time to leave as well. Generally speaking, it was a pity that he didn’t get to find out more about Klara. Time will show.

At the end Klara eloped and Nivis and Reyna still weren’t on good terms when it came to the pack formation.
