All Welcome
u choose what it is! <3

afternoon rains swept the ravine. in the scent of petrichor, zoug led @Gaara out of the protective palm-stand and to the great sandstone archway which marked the entrance to the core places of the tribe.

here doves flocked to and fro in their soft dances. as the coyotes watched, lightning flashed upon the sky. for a moment the land was darkened, and then when the light returned, something had been left on the earth between he and gaara.

Gaara followed in step with his father quietly, shaking out his dark coat every so often to lift some of the heaviness from the rain. Ahead, doves chattered and fluttered, finding their sanctuary in the desert brush and little crevices in the rock archway.

It was harder to determine where scents came from in the rain and Gaara did his best to distinguish in his practice. He would one day become a great hunter as his father and care for and protect the women of Tribe in the same fashion.
The skies flashed and darkened and the hairs along Gaara's spine rose. Then, when light returned to the world, something laid out in the sands in front of them. Gaara had never seen such a thing before.
He woofs low, hairs raising higher and then barks out, standing firm at his father's side. He wanted to show his bravery and yet, secretly too scared to walk up to it without his father.

It was a piece of fulgurite.

the stone was sharp with grey depressions. zoug had never seen anything like this before; he pored in extra ways over the rock and glanced several times in approval at gaara.

tears of the desert, zoug decided, sliding the object across the sand toward his son. keep.

the lightning shone upon his gesturing paws, forked in a flicker across the faces of father and son.

The skies opened up and gifted them. The desert was a harsh place to live, though would provide for those who searched deeply, pushed further, worked harder. This day, it was an interesting trinket as opposed to the gift of food and water.

Gaara grabbed it after his father's inspection. Using his little dark paw to roll it in the sands to give his own examination. Then, he snatched it up in his mouth and waved his tail happily behind him.
