All Welcome
AW but would love someone with the family group or hoping to be with the family group <3

She thought she heard laughter of her siblings and the idle conversation of adults.

She had opted to lounge lazily in the cloudy sunlight of day. Desperate for any ray of warmth in the cool air that had swept over the valley. Even if she enjoyed listening to how the breeze rustled the grasses around her. It made the world seem like it whispered to her.

There was a great joy in this simple moment.

Enough that she sunk to the ground in a makeshift bed of flattened grasses. Eyes heavy with the pull of sleep, but she hovered in between awake and another nap.

Oversized ears upright were perhaps the only sign that she was still aware of her surroundings.

Hope you don't mind me snagging another Petal thread <3
Foxglove was never far from her sisters. Petal in particular might not have been the most fun company she'd ever kept, but she was far favored over Dahlia. So it was only natural that the quietest Medeiros sister could never rest in peace for more than a moment before Fox stuck her nose in it.

HEY! She yelled, popping in and out of the tall grasses like a game of whack-a-mole. NO SLEEPIN'! SUN'S OUT, YA BIG LUMP!

Did the laughter come closer?

Did the talking?

At some point there was warmth along her and she liked to imagine her mother had come to nap too. It was a short lived thought of comfort as the voice of Foxglove shattered the whispers of the grass.

Her eyes fluttered open just in time to see the familiar face disappear in the grasses that had shielded Petal from any threats. There she was again! Oh, gone again.

No, still very much here.

That's why I'm sleeping. Thump, thump, thump. Her tail betrayed any idea of upset she might have had at being bothered by Foxglove. Whatcha doin'?

Lookin' for you, Foxglove rejoined cheerfully, never missing a beat. Her sister's penchant for daytime naps was baffling to her — but she supposed it wasn't too much different from her own tendency to sleep late into the morning. This time when she dove from the grasses, she was aiming for Petal. Not to knock her over, but to wrap her arms around her sister.

Dahlia's being lame, She announced, though her tone indicated that this was nothing new. At least not in her world. And ma's being gross. Which meant, of course, that she was spending time with Dusty Rose again.

So it's just you 'n me, Fox sighed and rested her chin on Petal as she said it, looking world-weary for a moment. And a whole lotta grass. I miss Blossom.

The warmth of a family member was far better than anything the sun provided.

She allowed herself to be held and melted beneath Foxglove. Content to be rested upon, she nearly could have nearly dozed off like this! She refrained for her sister's sake more than anyone else's though.

Soft laughter bubbled up from her at the declaration of their mother being gross.

Petal hardly minded. She figured that if anything her mother so very much deserved it. Had her sisters seen what laid beneath the beautiful fur? She shoved aside the thought in favor of focusing on the good.

Bet Blossom's looking at a whole lotta grass, too. Maybe not the grass here, but out there somewhere. A thought to keep them all connected together despite whatever distance laid between them.

Yet despite her penchant for unity, the idea that struck her next was perhaps not so aligned to that.

We should find something. Just for us.

She giggled at that, but her arms tightened around Petal briefly as she tried to conjure up a mental image of her words. Blossom, somewhere far away. Blossom, all alone. Foxglove couldn't imagine why their older sister would ever choose such a fate.

But she forgot all about that as Petal went on. Her eyes grew wide, head lifting with ears standing tall. Something just for us. Ooooh, Fox breathed, immediately captivated by the concept. Like what? Her agreement was implicit; it wasn't as if she'd ever said no to Petal before anyway. Particularly not when she was, for once, being interesting.

She couldn't say what came over her.

Maybe it was the want to do no wrong, to be the right person to trust. Was she the right person to trust if she left out their other sibling? That was its own thing to grapple.

A place. She craned her neck to peer, upside down, at her sister. Somewhere just for us. I-if anything happens we go there. Bored or—

Her heart was squeezed in her chest and Foxglove was at the center of it.

Or what? In some ways Foxglove was more sheltered than her quieter sister; she hadn't yet seen what was beneath the rabbit fur. Truth be told she hadn't even noticed it. She couldn't begin to imagine what lurked beyond that or, but at the same time she had seen enough to feel some instinctive prickle of tension. Enough to be put off of asking.

Instead, she said, Let's go, then!

Foxglove sprang up with as much energy and enthusiasm as ever, immediately ready to go. She didn't even care where they went. Anywhere with Petal was a good place to be.

It was kinder to be met with excited radiance from Foxglove instead of curious wonderings.

Usually tired and sprawls, Petal could move with a surprising quickness when the time called for it. Her sister wanting to go was one of these times. She thought she had spotted some interesting shapes in the horizon that they could amble towards.

Granted she failed to realize how large the valley was and how far those tall figures were.

Go, go, go. She urged and became a little herder at Foxglove's heels. There's gotta be more than grass. The mesa loomed in the distance, as if to serve as a summons and promising there was indeed more than grass in these lowlands.

can petal also be removed from HW pls? <3
