All Welcome
u choose what's found! <3

nightfall rushed the ravine into the silver glowing of many stars. with @Ebra beside him, zoug went to investigate the place of many bones. it was farther than he had gone with the others, but they made a good passage.

the moon stood overhead. the bones gleamed whitely, and among a tangle of antelope femurs there was a shine of something below, something softer than the graveyard itself.

Little paws drummed the earth as she padded along, the sound of earth beneath her feet was grounding, enough so that she felt the need to hum along to its song. She lived for the world and its beautiful music.

Zoug had brought the little Rainteller further than she had ever been, further than her siblings, at that. She couldn’t help the tiny tinge of fear in her heart at the thought, but felt immediate comfort as she remembered that she was not alone—her father would always keep her safe.

They came upon a conglomerate of bones, the final resting place of many unfortunate animals. He had lead her to a pile of femurs, but she had little interest in them. So, she dug, as if something else called to her.

Something that didn’t make sense in such a pile.

A skull, avian, bleached by the sun. The beak had remained dark, retaining the color as if holding on to the life it once lived. The eye sockets were large, circular, once holding eyes that were all-seeing and full of wisdom.

Her find excited her and she yipped for Zoug to see what her rooting procured.

ebra called and zoug came forward.

the sightless sockets of the owl skull almost caused her stoic father to shudder, but he maintained himself. owl, he signed to her. fierce bird. strong spirit. brac's protective animal.

the spirit had showed itself now to ebra too, and he wondered at it. keep this close, daughter.
