He's around 3 weeks old, so he's babbling & a little more ambulatory, and his ears are open.

After an afternoon nap where he was nestled close to @Nasamik, Raiyuk woke with a bounty of energy that his mother could not hope to contend with. He was up and wide awake, pacing the den with his little legs, or stomping and running from wall to wall, as if he were possessed by the wind itself.

He crowed at her and bounced against her shoulder, or her chest, and made to reach for her cheek, or her ear, or her lips - to shove his nose in to the corner of her mouth (an instinctive yearning for food, not that he knew what he was doing); and playing tug-of-war with whatever he could grasp.

@Chakliux had left behind a number of small toys. The boy sought out one of these and cavorted around the den mouth with it, then would drop it and head for another! Nothing would hold his attention for long, and he seemed never to tire.
