there was some lingering joy bubbling in the depths of his chest at the thought of having a companion along for the discovery of the rumored volcano. he did not wish to learn of it's exact location, firmly believing that exploring the territories through trial and error to be half of the fun, but a general idea as to where the fuming mountain might lie would certainly be helpful.

so, he set off with the hopes that a local might know of where the volcano rest, or if there even was one to begin with. he'd tried bribing a coyote, tricking a fox, bartering with the birds, and all he got was useless information. any faith he might have had in the natives was starting to dwindle, though he still held onto some confidence that his own kind might be more helpful. so after a moment of consideration, he tipped back his head and called for the attention of anyone willing to spare him a moment of their time.
