Hideaway Strath a blank space with no point of reference

he had spotted it in the early hours of the morning, then managed to make his way to it by afternoon. not that it had been that difficult, he simply hadn't been sure.

now he was back to the main territory of the saints and quickly looked for @Maiken.

he had wanted to make his own place. he could do so upon the island with privacy and the abundance of untouched flora. although he wished to hear her thoughts first and perhaps show her the place himself.

Hope you don't mind the slight interruption! Figured this would be the perfect time for Arashi to meet their newest and also perhaps get trade points for a small escort. Additional tags for reference.

The general patrolled alone today. Tomorrow he would summon @Sovereign so that he could introduce one her new responsibilities as a private.

Upon turning a sharp corner, Arashi landed himself face to face with a blurred brown smudge. A face — one of a stranger. Part of him had almost felt sympathy, as he, a giant, had nearly trampled the tiny thing. But then he returned to reality.

Instantaneously, the fur upon the man's back bristled. A cold, questioning stare befell the wolf below it. For now, he saved his piece, assuming they would think it wise to speak the purpose of their presence before Arashi found words first. And they wouldn't be kind ones.

Maiken traversed the pack land and quickly found an itch to go look for more herbs. She headed towards the borders and swiftly saw the giant towering over the newest medic and she shook her head with a sigh.

She moved near them both and spoke. Keeping her body submissive to the general.

Hello General. Meet Veran our newest medic. Veran this is general Arashi.

She then stood nearby allowong the two to get aquainted.

he had nearly been ran over, and all he could do was stop like a deer in headlights.

momentarily terrified before he remembered his place here. so his posture shrunk, tail beneath his legs and head hanging below shoulder level.

he was apart to part his lips to speak when maiken arrived. a savior, truthfully.

pleasure to meet you. he offered softly before falling silent again.

The runt hadn't had the time to speak, as Maiken appeared and did so for him. Arashi flickered a look between them, stare easing slightly.

Another medic? Haven't we two already? The general's eyes fell solely upon the boy. Though, I suppose that's what best suites you. Battle clearly won't. They weren't meant as harsh words, but truthful ones. Size didn't always matter, but in most cases, the larger were the triumphant. 

Where is it that you're headed, boy? Not yet had he earned enough respect and trust for Arashi to use his name. 

And with the question overhead, he waited expectantly for an answer. 

Maiken looked to the general and gave a swift nod. Then averted her gaze. She had found as long as you were respectful of him he was of you. Fair.

I am trained in battle as well, so if i am needed to move from medic I can. Or to add another specialty to my medic status. And there are more than one way to fight.

She also was not being disrespectful. Merely also stating truths.

Then with the next question she turned to Veran also unsure where he was going.

it felt awkward.

all of it.

maiken felt blunter now against the general than she had seemed yesterday. the general downright horrified him in general. not to mention the immediate picking upon.

but it was okay. this was life.

he wished to mention poison for battles, much like maiken had informed him, but held off. he did not wish to oversell himself so soon.

there's a small island on the river. it's a peaceful place full of herbal life. his gaze fluttered from maiken back to the paws of the general. i-i was looking for maiken. to see if she thought it'd be a good place for my own medical cache.

The subject of Maiken's offering would be set aside, for now. They could return to it later.

He listened to the boy's answer, finding himself slightly scowling. That island is a decent hike from the strath woodland. The river tends to overflow during wet season as well. Should you make your little cache there, your collection will be swept away and lost. I would advise against it. Veran had admitted he was seeking an opinion from Maiken, but instead, he got one from the general. 

Maiken tilted ears forward. And listened to what he had to say. Though she also weighed the council of their second in command. She frowned as she thought through what to say. She didn't wish to crush the boys thoughts, his self-esteem was already low.

You could possibly keep the water plants there. We will find you a cache to call your own. General Arashi, would you like to come with us?

She looked to the multicolored male and waited.

he was not opposed to the general escorting them. especially since the man did seem to know plenty about the land. made sense, seeing his high rank and all.

i would like somewhere private and sheltered. he admitted to the both of them. that way nobody reaches anything they shouldn't.

a brief knowing look spared to maiken.

Maiken asked that he would escort them. Part of him wished to refute, but then he thought on the vitality of the trip. Veran was knew, thus he knew little of the strath and its surroundings. Maiken was not too new, but nonetheless, Arashi knew better than to let two of their imperative members get lost or worse: maimed by some creature or another.

Lead the way, He finally agreed, nodding to Maiken. 

Maiken was aware enough of her surroundings, the general could have stayed put, however, it was clear that he was willing to do so. Could even possibly get his own trade out of it.

Maiken met the gaze of Veran and dipped he rmuzze, then with minced steps, stepped away and into position to lead the males towards the forest and the surrounding area. Though she left enough room for either one to take the lead when they wished.

he stuck near the flank of maiken, eyes on the search for somewhere that could fit his medic (poison) needs. he also trusted her to suggest places to him. seeing as she did know the best places for growth her most likely.

regardless, he was eager to get this all sorted.

The agouti man kept close in tow.

Maiken or Veran would lead them to this desired place; but as to which, he paid no mind. He was merely here to keep them both out of trouble and harms way.

But the sooner their cache plotting came to an end, the better. The general had more.. fitting places to be, rather wolf-sitting.

Maiken followed behind Veran, nose to the ground and wondering where they were going to go next. It was clear the General was done with leading them around. He was not a patient man she had noticed in her brief time aroun dhim.

he was not her favorite leader, but he did get things done and for that she could certainly respect him. and he had the packs best interests in his mind.

She would converse with Veran as they walked and decide what they wanted and where.
