Sunbeam Lair frantic, no more i could choose

feeling a familiar need to seek isolation, tindome's knight slips from the borders, making his way east where he's yet to tread. he still does not know whether to find tindome's silence comforting or worrisome (and he's yet to discover the children's indiscretion at sunspire, which might spike his anxiety). taking a deep breath delight steadies himself: one step at a time, one day at a time, he'll fumble through.

along the mountain range he wanders. unlike the tuktus the mountain takes longer to travel so he does not try to go far until he finds the deepset cavern, and curiously lowers himself into it. if he had an eye for plants he might find the strange, hesitant spring blooms more intriguing, but mostly he likes the feeling it provides, even more secluded than the vale. his intrigue wins out over seperate anxiety as the morwinyon begins to tread deeper into the cavern, thinking of bringing queenie with him next time -- she'd surely get a kick out of this little hideaway.

the con artist decided to take shelter in the mountains for a couple days. hours of travel was not ideal to the woman and she yearned for a place to rest her aching bones. so when she made her way up the rocky slopes she thought it wouldn’t hurt to stay awhile.

yew soon found a mysterious cavern and made her way inside. the abundance of plants did not dazzle the devil, for she had no use for them. she was interested however, when she spotted another wolf before her. instead of introducing herself like any other normal person, she followed him from afar in silence, analyzing his every move.

a creeping sensation overcomes him, a prickling along the nape of his neck that comes to pool anxiously in his belly. is he being watched? childishly delight refuses to look, suddenly and irrationally afraid that if he turns, he'll be confronted with some supernatural spectre here to punish him for his many failures. oy, exploring the creepy cave alone may have been a bad idea.

his pace slows, busying himself with studying the plants he has no use for and no interest in, until finally he gives up. "uh," the morwinyon calls out, pausing mid step to turn around. "hello?"

she stayed concealed in the foliage, either awaiting her presence to be noted or for the man to leave. the fact that she went unnoticed for the while amused her. that or the stranger simply didn’t wish to turn around.
her ears pricked when he finally spun around and called out.  “what are you doing here?” she asked. instead of revealing herself she stayed put, though her voice may have given her position away.

a voice confirms his suspicions but the figure does not reveal themselves, instead lobbing a question back at him. his brow crinkles slightly, squinting into the dark of the cavern. he can make out the general direction her voice came from but not her, yet, and he's not exactly the sort to go round sticking his head in dark spaces to see what bites. in response to her question he snorts and says, "what do you think?" his voice dry. "i'm on the run from the law, they'll never find me in here." delight deadpans, blustering to cover up his nerves.
