He hoped to find the river again; the air there had been crisp, and he could use a drink of the chilled water to help cleanse him of the noxious fumes that the nearby pools emanated. The sulfur smell clung to his pelt and seemed to mask any residual sea brine that lingered upon him; he didn't notice, but maybe @Yami would, and be driven away by the strangeness of his bad smell. That was about the last thing he wanted; if he lost Yami now, he'd be alone. The last thing Firefly wanted was to be alone.
But the river that rose up to greet him was not the same. The air cleared, but he couldn't see the massive winding river; he moved north along the edge of the chasm and realized why the river appeared to have vanished, as he glanced over the edge and saw - then felt - the rumbling of the water's violent pulse.

She'd moved on from her meeting with Dirge, feeling much better after having contact with someone.
Someone that didn't try to eat her.
She wandered in no particular direction, ambling alone hoping to stumble on a carcass or...something. It was getting colder, not great for her thin, dark coat that leeched her body heat. She wasn't used to the cold and had barely made it through the winter; luckily she wasn't in an area hit too hard by blizzards. Here though was rather exposed. More exposed than she liked.
She at least had her wish granted. An interesting gorge opened up before her. She looked up and down it, ensuring there wasn't someone about to throw her in, before crawling to the edge and peering down. The water ran northish. North it was then. She stood and trotted along the lip of the chasm, looking for something to do.
Another wolf seemed to be interesting enough.
The woman chuffed to alert the figure ahead of her presence, swishing her tail to show her friendly greeting. "Hola desconocido!"
