Though he had hoped to have a girlfriend or even a mate by the end of the conversation, he had realized that he was just as happy with a "friend-girl." As long as it was Finley, he would be content. And while she worried that she couldn't give her all to him, he was -- perhaps a bit naively -- oblivious to the secrets that she kept hidden within her heart.
