Wildfire dropped back onto all fours, squealing lightly when she saw her mother winding up for a counterattack. She began to turn, though Fox was too quick for her. She went down beneath her dam's forepaws, pinned to the ground.

It knocked the wind out of her, so for a split second, Wildfire didn't make a sound. Then she recovered and began to giggle and squirm, trying to escape Fox's grasp.
