Kendra's big blue eyes as she looked up at Damien with concern was the breaking point for him. He had never felt so much love for a creature in his life, and that was the moment he knew he was doing the right thing. He couldn't allow no darkness to consume him, he needed to stay strong for his little sister, and brother, because no one else would. Of course there was also Cicero, Burke and Potema, but none of them could protect them like Damien (or so he thought...?).

Kendra babbled something barely understandable, and Damien's growl became a sigh. "I'm not mad at you..." he explained, lowering his head to her level and with a much calmer voice. He watched her for a moment and then licked her nose gently. "Just... Eat."
