Kendra was in the darkness of the tunnels, that was where they all were now. There were these ravenous insects eating everything. For Kendra this was even a tougher blow. It was not a secret that she loved plants. She had already gone quiet when Pietro died, but now she was just sitting in a corner staring before her in the darkness. She often looked like a statue.

For the girl the world felt as if it was really ending. Pietro died. Xan had been right that her brother left her, and on top of that, even though her garden had been ruined before, now there were these horrible insects eating every plant that they could get. Everything would be dry and their prey would most likely be gone. How were they even going to survive this?
