The den had been his world for what seemed like ages, but the little pup had already explored every nook and cranny of the rocky whelping den. Now, as his mother slept, his tiny blue eyes fixed on the cave entrance, and the many colours that presented themselves there. The sun was setting, and a myriad of colours painted the sky. Low bird calls met his ears, Seff did not yet know what they were, but didn't care. He had one sole mission in mind.

Creeping away from his mothers side, he made with great haste for the entrance of the den, and, to his joy, made it outside all by himself. Caught up in his excitment, he babbled to himself as he slowly made his way...well somewhere. Seff made it only a few meters before he stopped, intruiged by a small beetle crawling toward his paw. He gave a little 'oooh' and yipped excitedly when it touched his paw.
