Shadow Mountain The endless search

Shadowfur watched her depart, relieved at her forgiveness. It had been more than he had dared to hope for. The injured male tested his left front leg and, satisfied that it would support him for a while, limped off towards the east. As he continued, he had a lot of time to think.

A large part of the blame rested on his shoulders. He accepted that immediately, even though it wasn't the easiest thing to come to terms with. If he hadn't been so rude initially, the entire situation could have been different. He promised himself therefore, that he would strive to do better.

Cresting the top of the mountain, Shadowfur saw a large valley that stretched as far as the eye could see to the east. Perhaps there he, could continue. Before he went down the other side, he threw his head back and howled towards the direction banner had departed. His message was simple, Thank you. He only hoped she would understand. Then the dark male headed down into the valley, to continue his endless search.
