"Well, that depends," he said with a blink. "Where have you come from? What makes you so desperate?" he couldn't help but wonder. "More importantly, what skills do you both possess that would make you assets?" Peregrine shifted, his head, ears and tails still erect as he added one last question, "Are you two together? Like, together together?" If they hoped to settle down and start a family, well, they were shit outta luck; there really wasn't room for any more litters here.
