"It's nothin'," he said at once, stiffening for a millisecond as she leaned toward him. He didn't know how to deal with her proximity anymore - not when he could only think about how close she'd been before. He could hardly look at her without thinking of that day, and often, he worried that some sign of it would bleed through if she came near him again, and that she'd known the kind of powers she had over him.
