Sunbeam Lair this party is pretty boring, i don't think it's for me

Rannoch was not blind to the sadness that tainted the other's crystal-clear sight, and he wondered what could have driven such an expression to emerge. Had this stranger lost his father, too? He wondered briefly before the thought was distracted by what had been said. "Yeah, I'd like to think he would be," he replied softly. 

Rannoch sat then, feeling the weight of his words as he settled on the floor.  For the sake of their conversation, he knew that they would be better off changing subject matter, as the Alpha was not willing to elaborate on the current one. With this motivation, Rannoch changed the topic as he attempted to rid himself of his inner pining by inquiring: "So what brings you to these parts?" Rannoch would not mourn before a wolf he barely knew and instead would distract himself by forcing himself to think of other things.
