If they'd been the same age, they would have been equally matched. "You'll have to work on that," he said with a smirk, "if you want to sneak up on me." He wondered why she was not upon the mountain with the others, scouting out what might be their new home.

He stopped and bent his front end to make his body into a "U," turning to face Kavrak's skulking form. He squinted, trying to figure out where she was. He'd heard her, but he couldn't pinpoint her visually just yet. His ears pivoted, trying to track her exact location, but he couldn't seem to find her. Perhaps she blended in more easily with the foliage.
