Rannoch turned to Screech as he began to speak, and studied the yearling as he revealed his perspective on the matter. "It is unfortunate what Redshank has been through," Rannoch agreed, "But, it was also his decision to be away from the Vale when the information was passed along. I'm sure that somebody would have filled him in if he would have returned to the Vale after my disappearance. I cannot be solely blamed for the condition he's in."
"Any wolf under my leadership is my family," he assured Screech. "Nothing is saying that anybody is less worthy." His gaze returned to Redshank, and he frowned. "But the fact of the matter is that Redshank isn't a member of Sunspire. He is an intruder within my territory, and I must protect my family. I cannot allow for my wolves to be hurt because of him."
Rannoch regarded Terance then, "Terance, as my lead guardian, I will allow you to decide what happens to Redshank. Protect this family as you must." He turned back to Titmouse then, and frowned, "And if you decide to side with Redshank, you will be considered an intruder as well." Blood relative or not, the yearling had done nothing but cause trouble since his arrival.

a crime so old as the sky and bone
he came untied, solid as a stone
all is almost lost and it starts to show
he came untied, solid as a stone
all is almost lost and it starts to show
