Surprised and happy that Siarut had accepted her compassion, Speedy gave a small wag of her tail and smiled at him. She studied him for a minute before asking, "What about your mom?" She generally wanted to know more about him but wasn't sure how much he information he would offer. Still, she would ask and if he didn't want to answer, that was his perogative. She also hoped her question wouldn't bring up any painful memories for him. She silently wondered if her safe, loving childhood was what lead her to be the open book she was now. She thought that if she had experienced as hard of a life as Siarut appeared to have experienced, maybe she wouldn't be so willing to say what was on her mind or offer details of her life to others she didn't know very well.
