Broken Boulder now i'm feeling things, so be sure

Liri leans on Kavik's broad inky side gratefully. Her legs tremble with effort and her mangled leg throbs where it's curled up against her body. Small rocks scatter beneath unsteady ivory paws and Liri struggles to do it with the least amount of help.

The girl gets to the ground safely, trembling with exertion. Her leg will pain her later but the healer has herbs; given the chance, Liri wouldn't have changed a thing. She'd already decided she loved playing with Kavik. 

"Thanks," she manages to get out, panting slightly. Her leg muscles will get stronger in time but climbing has worn them out. Liri sits for a moment, too tired to be shy about resting her head on Kavik.
