tegan stared at it, ears pricked and nose twitching as she barred her teeth in his direction. "looks like you could sneak pebbles through the gap-- then you'd have a secret mouthful of rocks and you wouldn't even have to open your mouth," he said blankly, mostly without thinking about why anyone would every want a mouthful of rocks. but, besides the point. "not bad though," he finally added, a bit more seriously, "what happened though?" when she (presumably) shut her mouth, tegan looked back at here, away from her mouth, head tilted to one side.

"i was off looking for screech for a week or so, i kinda missed a bit back home. and towhee found him while i was gone anyway, apparently-- was that it? did screech fuckin do that to you??"
