Aqakuktuq was still adjusting to the family's nocturnal schedule, fatigued mentally instead of physically. A yawn escaped her, and she resisted the urge to give in to sleep as the sun set. While drowsiness nipped at her heels, the wraith was not one to laze about, so she had been wandering near the group when Siarut's voice caught her attention, instructing her to follow him. Unquestioningly, she obeyed, falling into place behind the bearish man. Once they had departed from the group, he lowered his nose to the ground. The action gave Aqakuktuq a good idea of what he'd brought her out to do, and his words only confirmed it. Nodding, she mimicked him―nose hovering just above the grass at her feet while she sifted through the scents there.
She took note of the deer droppings and picked up on the scent of hares nearby. Hunting for hares appealed to her more; it was less risky, and they were close. If enough bodies joined in, though, they could take down a deer, which was more rewarding.

Shall we hunt hares or deer?Aqakuktuq asked openly, wanting to hear other opinions.
