Her brows lifted at the mention of Takiyok's pack - the one they had come in search of. It was northern, the name spilling easily from the pale woman's tongue. It felt strange to be confronted with someone from her homelands after so long, after not hearing her native tongue from another for so many years. 

As Ruenna finished speaking, the leader nodded to her slightly and took up the metaphorical stand. 

"My husband and I are from the north. When we heard there was a northern pack in the Taiga, I suggested coming to speak with you," she continued in the northern tongue, feeling a tad guilty that Ruenna was now excluded from the conversation. 

"We thought that you might be willing to form an alliance, given that I'm aware of northern customs and can speak your language," she concluded. It went unsaid that the woman was free to turn them away but on the chance that they had yet to form alliances, it was possible the notion might intrigue them.
