He said nothing--not even to answer her question. He just huffed and turned away. Speedy watched him quietly for a moment, genuine concern on her face. It was rare that she had so much trouble figuring someone out, but he sure was making it difficult for her. She wasn't quite sure why he didn't want her help or why he felt the need to be so obstinate, but she wouldn't be deterred. She sighed softly--a somewhat capitulated sound.
I can't help you if you don't talk to me,she said gently with no chiding to her tone this time. She at the very least wanted to make sure he wasn't in pain.
Please?the empath added right after, eyebrows lifting a little and a small, coaxing smile on her face. She would get through to him somehow.
