Emotions were not always easy for the beast, but there was no denying how painful it was to witness his lover fall apart and not be able to really do anything about it. The words sobbed into his coat did little to ease his confusion, but it mattered little.The reason for his despair was unimportant right now; Midar just wanted it to stop.
It's okay,he rumbled softly, attempting to quiet Alarian's turmoil. He kept himself wrapped around the scarred male, feeling as he finally started to calm. Everything in him wanted to ask the other man what was going on now that the crying had stopped, but he kept his questions to himself, afraid of upsetting Alarian again. So instead, he just softly licked his lover's tear-damp cheek as a low whine leaked from the beast's chest.
