The boy was glad to just be home. Wandering in the place he did belong. He didn't care what the others said, he was here before them anyway.
His murder fluttered nervously until what sounded like his Mother's angry voice rolling across the ground. The birds immediately flew up, cawing alarm calls. His ears flicked back, his fur rising. His body trembled slightly, but he stood his ground, tail arching.
He wasn't too sure about what to do.
Then, he saw the dark boy ahead and a low growl rumbled from him like he was part of the tremours. He was the last kid he wanted to see.
