ibis' instant recognition did something to soothe the giant, but it didn't do much to sooth the anger that boiled within him. did she hurt you? asked terance between growls, eyes still locked on the black wolf before him. he knew the answer -- he smelled the blood -- but he'd give the stranger the benefit of the doubt before he lunged to tear into her flesh. 

as much as ibis' naivety came from her mother, terance had always been known for trusting easily. granted, this situation might've been a bit different. his tail arched, now, and he took a step towards the little black wolf, who looked displeased, but not enough so that she was leaving.
