What was home, really? Easthollow's borders would likely be closed and Morningside had disbanded. The children might have gone off to forge their own paths but Bhediya doubted they would want her along. That was okay, though. South of the Teekon was her birthplace, but the memories that'd been forged there carried pains that were still too fresh. For now, all that she was sure of was, I'm going west.

What lay beyond the mountain range was still a mystery. Deep in the Hinterlands were the falls that she'd planned to claim eons ago, but there was no telling what had come of them now. Parts of the coast could be reached by following her planned path, but Bhe was never much of a seafarer. I might go north. I might not go anywhere at all.
