Naturally, the conversation ended. She didn't want to poke into her pack because if she touched the wrong thing, it might raise serious suspicion she was gathering information. 
So she decided it was best to do what she loved to do.

Vanity approached Cat, softly letting her breath tickle her under her chin. So close, but if she didn't get snapped at, it would be worth it. She lifted her nose to her ear, "You smell good too." It was true. She had that hint of home she supposed they never really lost. She turned so her body was alongside Cat's and sat with her, brushing her nose behind Cat's ear, provided she hadn't already lept away with a snarl or something.
