Porcupine Ridge It's Been A Long Time Coming

There was no sleeping for Yuudai, at least not yet. There were so few of them in their little travelling and Yuudai didn't fully trust the other two wolves, Ibis and Vespera. Someone had to keep watch during the night while the others slept, and right now, Yuu had taken that responsibility on himself. Perhaps in a few hours he would rouse one of the others.

As he watched the others doze, he noticed Reiko venture off on her own. She didn't go far, simply creeping toward the edge of the mountain, her gaze fixed on the sky. The lights danced along the blackness of the night. He smiled softly at her juvenile expression, her child like innocence one of her most endearing qualities.

As she crept closer and closer to the edge though, Yuudai's smile fell. His heart beating faster and faster, Yuu slowly rose and made his way toward her. Carefully disentangling himself for Himori and stepping over the others. "Reiko!" He called in a sharp whisper, not wanting to alert the others, but needing to get her attention. He could hear small bits of rock coming lose beneath her feet, and he sprinted the remaining distance. He came alongside her suddenly, trying to place one of his paws directly infront of her small frame. "What are you doing? He frowned, his tone washed in worry with a tinge on anger.
