If Toad were human, he'd be rolling up his sleeves now, ready for a brawl- but rather he listened to Merrick, contented by the king's cold words. What a genius! It was the perfect little speech; perhaps now pretty prince Clay's blood ran cold. Evien ruined the cool atmosphere Merrick created with an interruption, but Toad had to agree- this asshole had too much attitude and pride for his own good. The mexican wolf thought he could use a beat down a notch or two, and hungered for it in some ways, but he knew it was not the command- and so he remained in place, though fur prickled with eager adrenaline.
