The lack of fuss put up by the much larger male was appreciated by the raven wolf. She liked being in control, liked handing out orders and having others follow them without question. What she liked even more was the fact that up until now she had been able to walk all over the male and he had done nothing but treat her with the respect she desired, despite his obvious ability to overpower her and put her in her place if he wanted to. It made her feel important, special even.
As she sprinted off after the two fleeing coyotes, she could hear the male getting to work dragging the first victim away. A smile secretly pulled at her lips as she ran, curious to see if he would make light work of her command. It seemed he had, for soon enough he had caught up to her and was running by her side. She flashed him a raised brow and a flirtatious side-eye, impressed at his speed, before she focused back on the task at hand.
Up ahead, the two coyotes were heading towards the treeline at the opposide end of the golden pasture, their tails tucked between their legs. They were right to be scared, for the two wolves were swiftly catching up to them. Upon reaching the trees the two coyotes split up, each heading in opposite directions as they avoided the maze of trees.
The raven female darted off to the left, picking the dominant female canine as her target, the one she had been planning to take down all along. She was only a few paces behind her now. Soon she was have the coyote's skin between her teeth.
