She nodded.
She could hear his words but...did she really feel them?
She might do if she reflected on them.
Her eyes lit up when he confessed to wanting to see her again though.
She didn't want to lose her son all over again and would cling to the hope of him showing up any day soon.
"We do," she confirmed with a smile. It's all she wanted.
All she might never have.
"I'll always be proud of you, Valour." Never once she forgot the names of her children. And never will.
Soon enough, though. Too soon. They departed ways, Valour insisting he needed to be somewhere. For Moonspear or something. She was happy to see her boy had made it so far yet...she wanted to follow...but couldn't...she was too weak.
Rather, the frail woman turned back into the wilderness of Tuktu, ready for her next adventure.
