He almost didn't want her to say it.

He wanted to comfort her like his Mother had done so to him.

"You're always welcome here." He murmured as she came closer. He relaxed, his muscles sighing with relief from being so tense.
He touched his nose to her. He wanted her to be comforted, happy. That weird man better give it to her.
He knew she won't want to come back, but even for a visit. Just so he knows she's alive and as well as she could be.

Soon enough though, Maegi took her leave. He barely got a word of goodbye in before she departed fully. Once again, a missing piece to his puzzle.
