Kiwi lurked, watching the woman.  She'd tracked her progress down the shoreline to the stream and saw her catch a scent, though she had little clue what her aim was.  She wasn't sure why she stuck around... boredom, maybe.  Since encountering Sequoia she'd crossed few's paths and the quiet was beginning to grate on her.

Maybe some distraction would be worthwhile, then.

She stepped forward and strode across the sand, appearing and not bothering to keep back or slow down.  Are you alone?  She asked, trademark abrupt.  Formalities could wait.
