When Kasmut settled her eyes upon his sleek silvered coat, the dark stripe that ran up his muzzle, and the dull grey of his eyes, she smiled. Even the way his voice left his lips was handsome, unlike the coyote men who prowled Khembe.

Mmm, hello, Kasmut hummed. The pale coral of her eyes fluttered against starlight lashes.

You’re quite handsome, she mused softly, chuckling only for herself. He had a strapping figure with an indomitable air about him. Beneath that layer of masculine attraction was a thoughtful nature – it was this that had put the space between their bodies. Kasmut noted it. She even appreciated it.

The pale coyote moved so that she could close the space between them. The light pink of her nose extended to drink in his scent.
