Tytonidae gave her uncle a defeated-sounding, “Oh.” He made no mention of their conversations, nor all the advice he had given her when he had been trapped inside his head. Perhaps everything that had happened then had been lost to him. Yes, that had to be it. He simply couldn't remember because he had been a different wolf, with a different memory back then. Now, he was back to his normal self, and everything from that period had been lost. Maybe, if he went back to being stuck in his head, he would remember again. Tytonidae wondered if he could ever go back.

But then, how did he know about Blue? Did he remember only her? Was Tytonidae really so insignificant that she could not be remembered while he was trapped in his head? She had hung around her uncle just as much as Blue Willow had, and yet he made no mention of her presence.

Self-conscious, Ty shuffled her feet, unable to say anything more. And eventually, the silence was too much to handle. “B—bye,” she muttered under her breath, scampering off just as quickly as she had arrived.
