She smirked. He was a charmer, if not a casanova.
Ty took a closer look at “Casanova,” still unconvinced it was his true name, but not bothering to care or needle him for it. He appeared healthy, lively, and for all intents and purposes, attractive. There was little to complain about, and she had no reason to think he would be anything but a gentleman based on their brief interaction so far.
She nipped at his shoulder, should he let her get so close to do so, then drew back an instant later, whipping herself around and bounding a few paces forward only to glance back to assure herself that he followed. They always did follow.
Tytonidae,she replied, her tail lashing behind her. Once upon a time, she’d been a Redleaf, and perhaps somewhere deep down, she still was.
