Melody was curious about the Wellspring. It wasn't a place she visited often, mostly because of the presence of the Fellahin nearby. They still made her uncomfortable in a way she couldn't quite put into words.

But today she was more curious than uncomfortable, so she found herself lingering. Melody eyed the water from a slight distance, unwilling to get too near in spite of the urge to see what it might feel like. She would want to be alone, she thought, and one could never truly be sure that someone else wouldn't walk in and gape, as she'd done to Senmut.
