Melody was not idle. In one of the open air caverns, she began her work: a map of the stars to reflect all that she'd seen in that wasteland where the stars were so clear in the sky. She slept during the hottest parts of the day, and worked well into the night.

She scarcely ate, though she found the time to bathe. She found herself fond of the water, now. Anxious when she was away from it. Melody could hardly comprehend these changes in herself. Eventually she took a rare break to lounge by one of the pools, watching the water, and wondered if she had ever been so alone before.
