She could only grin fondly as Ceridwen recounted all the times she’d likely wanted to murder her. Frolic was well aware she’d driven her older sister—and likely everybody else in the family, at one point or another—crazy with her shenanigans.

Awww, Frolic replied mockingly, snorting a laugh. Then, Of course! as she flung herself at Ceridwin, wrapping her darkened legs around the older girl’s midriff and giving her a mighty squeeze.

She held on long enough to be obnoxious, true to her nature, then loosened her grip and pulled back to say, I’m definitely coming back! And I’ll still be here for a few more days, in case you change your mind about throwing me a party…

Laughing, she let go of Ceridwen and faced her dugout again. It was almost time to climb in and give it a test run.
