He approached silently, his tail high like a golden banner, as he stepped into view. His gaze flicked briefly to the stranger, before settling on Arslan. His smirk deepened, sharp and faintly mocking.

"Nefer," he greeted smoothly, voice carrying the brunt of his divine authority. "Your talent for finding... distractions prevails again."

Finally, his golden eyes turned to the stranger, raking over him.

"And you," he added, voice like a hiss of air, "seem to have wandered into land that is not your own. This oasis is claimed—by me. You are trespassing."
