Life was nothing if not interesting, Annique DeMonte had decided, as she worked diligently to extricate herself from her peculiar predicament. She'd wormed her scrawny body into a rabbit warren covered over by a thick accumulation of dead tree limbs overlaid with snow, only to find the warren nearly entirely deserted. The rabbits had long since moved their abode and these were but the oldest channels that formed the back way into their new real estate development. Half-collapsed tunnels and narrow passageways certainly not designed for wolfish endeavors were ahead of her, and in order to abandon her wild goose chase, Annique had to try to back up to get out.

That would have been all well and good, except that somehow in her brash entrance into the place, she'd managed to collapse much of the wood pile and nearly all of the surface light--along with her exit--was now obscured by snow and tree debris and very prickly, pointy, uncomfortable limbs that were reaching deep into the warren's channels to prod at her backside and scratch her tender-skinned underbelly. The only way out, then, was to dig up, and so Annique dug vigorously and with great conviction. Naturally she'd been a recluse as of yet in Neverwinter Forest, and had told no one that she was here; it had been a split-second attempt to nab a quick--or very quick, apparently--dinner. Annique grumbled as she heard the rustlings of her would-have-been-entree somewhere nearby, surely sitting and watching and laughing as its lupine pursuer tried to tunnel upwards and outwards.
