not so bad yourself, there is a forced smile on his lips, before he adds: for a bad man.

his tone, however, is not mocking. just matter-of-fact. dolce had a past—one he didn’t try to hide. that was worth something, at least. but words were easy. change was harder. tvar wasn’t one to place trust lightly, and he wasn’t about to start now.

still, civility came easy enough.
