Shadewood wing heart

They traveled far. Too fucking far. Meleys had not thought that their travels would extend to this. Had thought that their move would be temporary and that they might return to their herd once again in a season or so. It was not meant to be. Had she known, maybe she wouldn't have agreed to leaving for the sake of the pups. She may have stayed and fought instead. Yet this was coming from a woman who often felt closer to the herd she mingled with then the majority of wolves. She thought of @Suliya now briefly. 

It was too late. Meleys looked to C'ede' and hoped with every ounce of her body that he would be worth it. That he would be the future of Saatsine. 

It wasn't until her younger brother took the first clump of fur from the ground and tucked it away did Meleys take note to the signs of caribou in the region. A new herd. New life. Far different then the one they left behind yet same in all the ways which mattered. 

Travel had made Meleys worn and weary. More irritable then she was on any regular occasion. Yet the thought of the caribou filled her spirit and she pushed with whatever ounces of strength she had left. 

They were there - there! In the distance. It was this alone she needed and so after such, found a place nestled against a knoll in the forestry and it was here she would sleep for days to come.
