He was still enjoying the afterglow when Odessia’s voice cut through his muzzy bliss. Cambria blinked his mismatched eyes, his lips twitching into a smile as he beheld her current pose. That was neither flattering nor ladylike, though he didn’t really care.

She prattled on about the logistics of her cycle. He nodded absently, his mind moving sluggishly. Cambria eventually realized she was likely sharing this information for a reason. He pondered a moment, then tried to catch her eye.

Did you want me to stay with you until it’s over? he questioned, not entirely sure how he felt about that prospect.

On one hand, he could have five more days packed with pleasure. On the other, he had gone into this thinking it was one and done. If he stuck around, would Odessia want more than he was willing to give? He supposed he could no longer avoid the topic of… consequences.
