This is meant for @Tytonidae and @Saēna primarily but any of the parents are welcome too. :)

Three or four days passed (not that lil' Osprey could tell time) in a blur of milk and naps. Then something rather disruptive happened: there was a flurry of movement in the den and, all of a sudden, there were three blobs alongside her, not just the familiar one. Osprey Jr. squalled in protest at being shuffled and crowded, though curiosity soon overruled her babyish indignation and she took to sniffing and mouthing these unfamiliar blobs, as well as kneading them with her tiny black toes. Not only did they smell strange and interesting, they were smaller and somehow softer.

With a loud, quizzical whimper, Osprey climbed on top of the smaller one (Saēna) and latched onto one tiny russet flap of an ear. Instinctively, she began to suckle and the motion soothed her, though she unlatched a moment later when no milk came into her mouth. She grunted, then planted a small forepaw in Saēna's face in an attempt to shove her aside.
