She heard the snarl before she felt the impact, but even then, it was too late. Just as she was turning her head to investigate the noise, the smaller woman came barreling into her, forcibly pushing Brunhilde forward and taking the air out of her lungs in a heavy chuff. Someone more composed might be able to assess the situation and find a calmer, more logical way to react, but Brunhilde was not that someone. Her mind could only be in two places: calmness sparked by apathy with a touch of annoyance, and aggressive battle mode. She was calm when unharmed and aggressive when touched, and right now, she was being touched, so it was time to fight.

The stranger's efforts to push her over had only resulted in Brun stumbling forwad, her front half dipping some as she clumsily braced her paws against the dirt. With the weight of the other against her back and a barrage of bites going for her legs, she ducked her head protectively and began to violently shake her form with a venemous snarl, angrily trying to toss the silver woman off. If she was not sucesfful in this, she'd end up furstrated and impatient with the lack of result, prompting her to just rush forward in and try to tear away from the other's grasp, or at least through off the female's balance.
